A gambler in early spot placed a $15 bet. Two players fold and it was my turn. I should have dropped out, but something seemed a tiny bit off. I read this person as a weak-tight bettor, and typically if he had the number one hand he would simply check, so I called.
The turn showed with a 7, making it A-A-4-7. My challenger placed another bet of $20. I deliberated for a while, but made a decision to re-raise another $30thirty dollars over and above his twenty dollars. He folds and I take the pot.
Sitting at late position offers you an idea where you sit by seeing how other enthusiasts carry oneself and wager. On the flip side, people at starting position may use their poker position to check-raise the late positioned antagonists and trap them later at the end.
