When looking at a technique there are many factors that has to be considered. One element is the number of competitors, and how laid back or strong the competitors at the table are. You’ll have to be more careful in bigger matches. Another factor is your bank balance. You will want to bet extremely thoroughly and select a hand incredibly carefully if you’ve got a bank balance of just a few dollars.
We use little or no time in thinking and thinking about the game when we are away from the poker table, as we spend all of our time betting. One frequently missed point is to understand our own strengths and limits. Tiny mistakes can accumulate, and when the games are tougher these tiniest of mistakes can turn on us and change us from the winning position to the non-winning. So instead of haphazardly betting, we have to pick up scheme that might be to our advantage.
You must constantly keep in mind that playing every hand doesn’t actually make you a winner. You have to be picky in your betting and your cards. You have to play fewer but better cards then your opponents. For this you need to take calculated and planned risks and back them strongly. You must wait for the right cards, and when you have them, you have to go for the jugular.
