Phil Ivey has been referred to as the greatest poker player on the globe by quite a few of the top pros. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and moved to Jersey before reaching the age of one. His papa taught Phil penny-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was hooked on poker and wished to pickup anything he possibly could about the game. Phil made a decision to take his game to the next level and moved out west to Vegas. Phil continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players on the planet. Phil credits his achievements to discipline and an eternal passion for poker. Phil says that he is picking up skills every single day and is quite abashed about his accomplishments. He admits to making blunders in each game of poker and constantly strives to get better.

Even though Ivey has come first in some big tournaments, he prefers winning cash games on a normal basis.
